About Anna
My name is Anna Olin and I am passionate about supporting families on their breastfeeding journey. With a diverse background in supporting new mother’s, I bring a unique blend of experience to my role as a lactation counselor. My journey began as a Certified Child Life Specialist in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, at Boston Children’s Hospital. In this role I witnessed the incredible benefits of breastfeeding for premature and fragile newborns. I worked closely with families offering guidance and emotional support during a challenging time. These experiences deepened my understanding of the importance of lactation support in those critical early days.
Now as a dedicated lactation counselor, I am here to provide personalized guidance, education, and encouragement to families as they embark on their breastfeeding journey. My goal is to empower you with the knowledge and confidence you need to nurture your child through the power of breastfeeding. Together, we will navigate the beautiful and sometimes challenging world of breastfeeding to ensure that you and your baby thrive!

Newborns typically breastfeed 8-12 times in 24 hours. As they grow, the frequency might decrease, but it is essential to nurse on demand, whenever the baby shows hunger cues.
-
Yes, it’s possible. Different breastfeeding positions and aids like nipple shields can help with latching.
-
Adequate rest, proper nutrition, staying hydrated, frequent nursing or pumping sessions, and minimizing stress can help in boosting production.

While some discomfort can be common during breastfeeding, significant pain may indicate an issue like latch or infection.
